Whiners complaining about ‘Republican obstructionism’ use the buzzword to justify Obama’s abuse of power.
From 2007 through 2010, Democrats had a majority of both houses of Congress – through which they bailed out the banks, Wall Street, and Unions, overspent by more than a trillion dollars a year, and had to buy their own party’s votes to pass ObamaCare on a technicality. Even with their majority control of not only two houses of congress, but two branches of government, Democrats failed to pass their own DREAM Act and their own Cap & Trade legislation. They were obstructed by their own Democrat members. Both their detrimental victories and their failures were actually representation of The People at work.
From 2011 to now, Democrats held the majority in the Senate, as well as the presidency, and Republicans (so-called “obstructionists”) have had a majority in the House only. Over the course of which, deficits have slightly decreased, but not much else has changed through Congress. This stall of spending and legislation was actually representation of The People at work.
However, even under this partisanly-divided congress (which is the same divide Reagan dealt with), Obama unilaterally amended ObamaCare a couple dozen times, and he unilaterally instituted portions of the DREAM Act and Cap & Trade regulations, making our borders and sovereignty vulnerable and killing an industry that provides 40% of our nation’s energy – all on his own self-proclaimed dictatorial authority. This was the work of a fascist dictator violating our most basic charter of government and crapping all over representation of The People.
Now, if you are still whining about “Republican obstructionism” in 2014, then you are really whining about The Will of The People rejecting your radical, left-wing dictatorship.
Which brings me to the real point: Get over your fascism, your pinko-commie radicals in the Democrat Party need to be obstructed, and it is what the majority of the American people want.
